William Bailey brings a unique combination of construction and technology expertise to Onepath’s focus on smart building construction.
Onepath, a strategic IT partner, is proud to announce William Bailey, PMP, has joined the team as Vice President of Construction and Integration. Bailey is responsible for the management and delivery of traditional low voltage systems in new construction projects, as well as integrating building management and network infrastructure for Onepath. Recognizing the need within the construction market to deliver on projects from cable to cloud, Onepath created the new position with their general contracting and electrical contracting partners in mind.
Steve Albright, Chief Revenue Officer of Onepath, welcomes Bailey to the team remarking that “William brings a unique combination of technical experience and construction project management that supports Onepath’s leadership as a master technology integrator. He’s known for delivering landmark projects, such as the SunTrust Park & The Battery Atlanta, Acworth City Center, and the Piedmont Hospital Marcus Tower. These engagements represent the future of Onepath construction projects.”
Bailey joins Onepath with over 15 years’ experience in the construction and technology industry, including key delivery and operations roles with Digitel, Orange Business Services, Onepath Systems, and Facebook. Bailey has led the design and installation of large Cisco LAN infrastructures, wireless and DAS networks, and unified communication systems as well as managed the construction of multiple data centers, large commercial buildings, and special event spaces including SunTrust Park.
Tommy Mullins, Onepath SVP of Sales, predicts changes in the market for low voltage systems stating “as new technologies converge on a primary IP network, a new type of construction partner is needed to design, install, and integrate low voltage networks into the smart buildings of today. William Bailey has a master technology integrator mindset and demonstrates Onepath’s dedication to delivering intelligent low voltage systems in new construction.”
A smart building is the integration of disparate building systems, such as HVAC, security, and lighting control into a single network platform. Smart building integrations enable a seamless and intelligent management experience for building owners and managers. As more building systems become ‘smart,’ a single network allows for the efficient utilization of resources and key data collection points to drive behavioral change, in critical areas such as room and asset utilization.
