James Hwang

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER


As Chief Executive Officer, James Hwang is responsible for the overall strategic direction and the operational and financial success of 1Path. James is a seasoned executive with over 24 years of experience in the fields of people management, technology, finance, and mergers & acquisitions. James previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Cal Net Technology Group. During his tenure at Cal Net, James and his team grew the company to one of the largest and most profitable managed service providers serving the SMB segment in the Western United States. James’ other noteworthy accomplishments include a tenure as a Partner at Alphaworks, LLC, a $100M+ HP, Oracle and SAP value-added reseller transformed to a service-oriented business model and Vice President and General Manager of Central US Region at Hewlett-Packard Enterprise during the transformation years of separating HP’s business-to-business and business-to-consumer route-to-market segments. 

James was re-elected in 2020 by the shareholders of Hope Bancorp (NASDAQ: HOPE) to serve as a Member of the Board of Directors for the $17B asset-based, publicly traded bank.  At Bank of Hope, James serves as the Chairman for the Strategy Committee.  He also is a member of the Risk and Compliance Committee and the Executive Committees.  James is also a special appointee and member of CompTIA’s Channel Advisory Board and has also been appointed as an Advisory Board member for the Forbes Technology Council.  Lastly, James serves on a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) advisory board, HonorGuard Network, LLC, to assist returning military veterans better acclimate to the private sector.  

James obtained his Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Economics from the US Military Academy – West Point.
